Everybody is acting like the Broncos only added Russell Wilson. They also added Randy Gregory and D.J. Jones. A new offensive head coach and an new coaching staff that still has to prove it. But, Nathaniel Hackett is a humble guy, great relations builder, teacher of the game and so is the staff he installed. You can be sure the squad will go through walls for this group of staff. I think the Broncos made a significant upgrade in special teams with the adds in free agency and the draft. Maybe the WR's are a little bit unproven yet. But with the sceme they going to run and the weapons on board, if it clicks i expect it to click big time. Can they win a SB this year? It is more likely to say not, but i expect the Broncos to be a force to take in to account again. And they added the richest owner in the NFL, and it is not even close. By a mile high

@Baste God, lets see at the end of the season!
Hace 19 díasBaste God +2
@Andrew Hopkins no son, that's not how "kids" analyze the game. No the QB doesn't block, that's obvious buddy. But the QB needs to have an internal clock, this is for routes in progression and the guys up front bearing down on you. So if you are a QB with a terrible o line, do you think you help them by holding the ball longer or shorter? I'm sure that went over your head because you think the QB has no bearing on the o lines performance. Does Wilson have a great deep ball? Of course, but again, because you don't understand that timing is everything, how does one complete said deep ball consistently with a terrible o line? And what happens when those routes are taken away? You do understand that deep throws not only take a long time to develop, they also don't leave you with much else during the progression if you can't go to them. Wilson holds the ball too long, this has been a problem of his for a while. Does it net some nice gains, of course? Was his line shit for a few years, yes? But his inability to get rid of the ball also cost him and his team a number of sacks he could have avoided. I'm sure you understand all of this though, right? The expert that you are. Clown!
Hace 25 díasAndrew Hopkins
@Baste God The man is the BEST long ball passer in the NFL ok I'll agree with you on that the #s don't lie. Now the O-Line for the gulls is bad let's examine that for a second, you seem to be a very young fan who thinks the blocking is done by the QB and the catching and everything else, that's how kid's analyze the game. He had a AVG. YARDS PER ATTEMPT of 7.8 last year and on his career... Your Welcome and don't go away made kid just go away...
Hace 25 díasBaste God +2
@Andrew Hopkins Russ has definitely lost a step, idk what you've watched the last few years. His arm talent is fine, but he's definitely not as agile as he was before, and that's expected with his style of play, age and fatigue from playing behind bad o lines. You said Russ gets rid of the ball on time 😂. That's the opposite of his game, you clearly have never watched him play. Look he's a great player, but he holds the ball way too long, plays backyard football most of the time and isn't really a short to intermediate thrower, this means those deep throws he likes require lots of time. So again, good luck blocking for him. And it sounds like you need to do your homework. Please watch a few games frame by frame. Because you are 100% wrong. I'm sure you are excited as a Broncos fan, and good for you. But you are over embellishing what this guy does on the field.

Wilson’s record as a starter without LOB and Beast Mode: 40-25 Russ is a top tier starter in this league. The Seahawks o-line and defense hasn’t been very good for quite some time now.
Hace un mesScott Columbo
He’s also 0-4 in the playoffs without his great defense.
Hace un mesSwirvin' Birds
@thehoot79 they had a higher pass percentage than Denver last year. Attempts are low because Russ and the offense was going 3 and out down after down. 😂
Hace un mesthehoot79
@Swirvin' Birds Seahawks were bottom half of the NFL the last 3 seasons in passing attempts, but tell me more about how pass happy they were 😆. Give me a break. Hackett is the best and most progressive play caller Russell Wilson has ever had, end of story.
Hace un mesSwirvin' Birds
@thehoot79 what is Hackett's NFL coaching record? 0-0? Seattle went through 3 offensive coordinators in the last 3 seasons trying to cater to Russ. Pete went away from his philosophy the last several seasons and in fact were pass heavy trying to let Russ cook. Russ is an ingredient not the master cook.
Hace un mesthehoot79
@Swirvin' Birds I honestly believe that the Seattle system was holding him back. Pete Carroll is a conservative guy and with a more progressive coach like Hackett, I think Wilson is going to break all his previous career records. Given, I am a Broncos fan, but the sky is the limit, in my opinion.

@CJ Morgan You guys are starting a new relationship with your new QB. He's a top 10 QB and I will never argue that. You can ask any Seahawk fan and we'll say the same things. Russ is good but let's pretend his shit don't stink. The Broncos will win more consistently and become a better team. Will you ever win enough and make it over the hump? I don't think so. You guys might not want to hear it but you aren't getting an ascending player. He has limitations. The offense can get creative all it wants but it will morph into what we've seen the last few years in Seattle.

What I find comical is that Bronco fans think Seahawk fans are salty and spewing BS when it comes to Russ. Russ was a GREAT game manager, when he wasn’t the focal point of the offense. Once Lynch and some of the other leaders left, also after he married Ciara, everything became about fame and stats to Russ. Russ became a diva and very concerned with his brand and public perception. The Broncos aren’t getting Russ of earlier years who did whatever it took to win, they are getting “Let Russ Cook”, “Let’s Ride”, “Mr. Unliiiiiimited”. Russ will get his stats because he will make a couple plays a game BUT he runs a very inefficient offense because he simply never takes the easy passes instead opting to chuck it deep. I completely agree with Keyshawn, look the Seahawks saw him every day, you don’t think they know the holes in Russ’ game. Ask yourself this question, in any meaningful playoff game where did you say to yourself Russ took over and won it? See the 4 pick game against the Packers, SB interception on the 1 which whether you like the call or not Russ threw the pick. After watching 10+ years of Russ one thing that got old was Russ never taking responsibility for any of the offenses struggles. Russ why do you hold on to the ball for so long? Wait I’ll answer, you are waiting for the defense to break down so you can hit a home run ball. The dude takes a ton of unnecessary sacks by just the way he plays…..I have no doubt he will be successful in Denver statwise but come playoffs when things are on the line, he won’t get it done.

I've been ready to see RW leave for several seasons now. Go watch games from 2012 compared to what we got the last few years...
Hace un mesRicardo Edmondson +1
I have a ton of respect for Mina for her football insights, but I think she's overlooking the QB RW's short comings as Seahawks lQB. Time will bear the fruits of where RW fits in as an all time great. IMO, RW has in the past as Seahawks QB too many times not passed to obviously open targets in favor bigger gains. Maybe RW has learned or is being taught better in Denver, but his pass chart history tells a tale that most defenses don't ignore. Some can change their stripes, we'll see. There are some who say Pete held back RW in favor of am ancient football philosophy. I feel the next 2 seasons will show a lot as far as what's what with Pete's football style and just how great RW can now be in Denver. True that Pete failed in his first offerings as an NFL head coach, but he did go on to greatness at USC for 10 years then ten great years with the Seahawks. Both were not just because Pete got lucky with a player or two, it was because he had a system that he knew could work and he worked the he'll out of it. Can Denvers new HC win with these Broncos? Stay tuned to the coming season to see. IMO, Broncos will do good if they can get to 9 wins. Seahawks on the other hand are considered rebuilding and by many aren't expected to win 4 games, I think they will surprise those critics and possibly e in contention for 2nd place in the NFC west with a surprisingly resurrected Denfense and running game.

As soon as Wilson started taking upwards of 17.3% of the salary cap the team was never the same, yes Wilson broke many records in his prime but never returned to the Super bowl again even when the Hawks were ranked 10th in the NFL in 2016 in pass attempts. If Russell Wilson won Super bowl 48 then he lost the game to the Falcons in the Divisional round of the playoffs in the 2016 playoffs. He went 17-30 (56.66%) 2 TDs and 2 Ints and lost 36-20.

Hace un mesMeTV
@Rico Alexander, let's remember if it weren't for Carroll picking RW in the third round and promoting him to starter in his first season, Wilson might not have experienced the success he's had. Every other team passed on Wilson twice. Also remember that Wilson came into a situation where he was on a team with a great running game and a good defense, so he wasn't asked to do too much and his mistakes could be covered by a good D if he threw a pick. It wasn't like he ended up on the Jets and was thrown to the wolves in his first season. Many a QB has washed out of the league because they were thrown out there before they were ready for it. Now, Russells going to a team with a good D and a decent running game so he could be successful. However, he's also going to be playing in the toughest division in the NFL. We'll see what happens...

@MeTV the point is before we even got those two, we went from winning 7 games to winning 11
