The problem with this Mario Party is that they nerfed all the penalties, made stars too cheap, didn't add enough bonus stars, and it has dull boards. The wild swings are what makes Mario Party fun. The game should feel like a constant back and forth.

it's always interesting to hear the opinions on the characters dice from people who don't play mario party because almost always they see Bowser and DK's and say its bad when they are considered top tier by anyone who does play. tdlr for those interested: on average, you will move further with these dice. also if you land on an item space or an event that gives coins, you use can turn the disadvantage that you won't move into an advantage to farm that space.

limited number of turns, the shift from stealing is more valuable (it's plus one for you and -1 for someone else; buying is just plus one). depending on the map, the lakitu can be harder to reach than the star. it's difficult to keep every other player under ten coins, especially when that's the reward for winning most of the minigames.
