UPDATE: I'm seeing a lot of comments about the "drop" being smaller. Nothing was changed to the ride path or the drop, it's all the same length and size. Only changes were surrounding the path.

Cost me and my partner 6k for a two week trip to Florida with tickets included. Obviously it’s cheaper for a day pass but if you live abroad it’s still really expensive because of the travel

It’s kinda nice to see that people have grown to like the ride’s Jurassic World makeover. I remember people hated the aquarium scene when this first dropped, even though it looks pretty good. Considering this it was all altered without changing the original ride path I think the aquarium is a good use of real estate. I’m still not convinced there isn’t hologram technology used for the finale, it all looks so crisp and fluid in motion!

That last section looks fantastic! I’m just a little sad that they removed the voiceover right before the drop that goes “get out of there! It’s in the building, IT’S IN THE BUILDING!” To me that detail really made the tension that built up right before the drop

@Disco Shark um people because do things they shouldn't do, all the time. Like smoke and drink. If someone is prone to have panic attacks, its best not to go on these types of rides. They would want to go on this ride, but they should not. Then complain of a panic attack, when they choose to go on a scary ride.

that fish tank scene...this ride is simply unbelievable!!

I remember seeing a video of this ride a few years ago and thinking it was pretty underwhelming. Especially, the predator cove section. It was practically empty, so I'm glad they added the compys fighting. The T-rex looks a lot better at the end too. Before it was very obviously just "floating" in air, but it's more obscured now. Vast improvement all around!

I remember seeing the compys fighting in the 90’s ride version, only they had a box of popcorn instead of that hat.

Those animatronics are cool as heck! I was watching like this is on a casual ride at a park?? The forces that be prevent me from traveling so I experience what little I can through videos like these. Thank you for sharing! The way you filmed really made it feel like we were the ones on the ride.

When I was a young child, I had the pleasure of visiting Universal while they were filming Battlestar Galactica (the original, not the new crap.) I met Lorne Greene (Adama), Dirk Benedict (Starbuck), and Anne Lockhart (Sheba). I walked the Galactica bridge, held a colonial laser, and sat in the cockpit of a colonial viper. I would not have been able to do all of this on the tour but I was the guest of an actor by the name of Marvin McIntyre (Silverado, The Running Man). His mother and my mother were friends back in the day. For a small boy with his head in the clouds, this was pure ecstasy. I will never forget that experience. Thank you Marvin, and thank you Universal for that experience. As a side note, Ms. Lockhart was the most beautiful angel I had met up to that point and my crush on her remains to this day.

This is a new update. I remember watching videos of the ride just after it was expanded into Jurassic World from Jurassic Park and the entirety of those herbivores was just the cast talking on screens, man am I glad they improved it to this! The Indominus is terrifying!

Where is it ?

The movement of the two T-Rexes at the end of the video was the most and only impressive thing about the ride. The movement was realistic.

Those animatronics are amazing and massive! The huge screens are underrated as well, those are massive and look very realistic in depicting the 3D movement of the depth as the boat moves through the ride. A+ update.

I wondered how that exactly has been achieved..Is it really just the synchronized moving of the boats together with a parallax on screen, or ist there a real depth to it somehow? Like multiple screens or so?

Ahhh, Don't you just love it when all the Dinosaurs are up and actually working...I seen videos where the screens weren't on, the Dinosaurs weren't working due to remodeling and the ride looked so dead and boring. These animatronics truly make a huge world of difference. Brings them back to life. Awesome video 📹 👏

Went on this with my wife, alone and just us, 15 minutes before closing at night, in the front row. No one in boats in front of or behind us. It was scary af and awesome.

As much as I adored the original ride, this looks really awesome and I'm so happy the kept alot of aspects from the original ride, like the tiny dinosaurs fighting over the clothing and the raptor coming from the ceiling. Kinda wish they kept the original T-rex close up in the end, even if they replaced it with the Indominous. Still, this looks absolutely amazing!

One of the few times I like almost all changes to an updated ride.

It looks badass especially that beginning part where it shows the fish tank. I'm sad that they removed the Ford Explorer dangling off the wall, I loved seeing that. At the end of the ride on the left look for a Barbasol shaving cream can, hopefully it will still be there.

I've seen that mosasaur tank countless times in various videos and I still haven't been able to figure out how they correct the perspective relative to the viewpoint of the visitors in each boat. Even while I know it's CG 'magic', it's downright clever CG magic!!!

When I first got on this ride didn’t know what to expect I thought the first drop with all the warnings and flashes was it but turns out I was definitely wrong 🫣🫣

When I went on the ride, the thing that keeps you in place didn’t go down all the way so you had to hold it. And the point is I felt like I was going to die but the ride was actually really fun. (As you can see I didn’t die)

I went to Universal a month ago. Still can't get over how INCREDIBLE this ride was. My mom went on the original about six years ago and she LOVED IT. By the time we got to the park, it was like 9 in the morning with almost nobody there. She straight up RAN to this ride immediately. Me and her bf were like "Are you sure you wanna get soaked this early" and she just pulled us into the ride. This was my very first time on this ride btw. The animatronic that walks at the end straight up BLEW MY MIND. And the drop was a lot steeper than I thought. It was so crazy. We ended up going on it four times. Two in the day and two at night. IF YOU'RE GOING TO UNIVERSAL IN THE FUTURE, PLEASE DO THIS RIDE AT NIGHT. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. Definitely one of my favorite rides.

@Mini The most accurate description of Universal Studios Hollywood is that it is, literally, Universal Studios (as in an actual working movie studio) that, also, has a theme park attached to it. Universal Studios and its backlot have existed since the 1910s and they basically just started out giving tours of its backlot in the 1960s and that eventually grew into a full-grown theme park attached to the studio!! They still film movies and TV shows on the backlot and soundstages constantly (I'm actually going there to work on a show tomorrow) and they still do the backlot tour which kinda combines a real tour with a thrill ride. The rest of the park is a combination of thrill rides and live shows. Their rides/shows are mostly based on movies/tv shows that Universal has made or ones that they've gotten permission to use, like Harry Potter. It's fun! Definitely a place I'd recommend anyone visiting Southern California to see at least once. (And there is, also, a Universal Studios in Florida, which is just a straight-forward theme park with no studio attached so, it's a bit more extensive but doesn't have a studio tour, obviously)

I got lucky to go on the jurassic park ride before they revamped it, but damn it this is awesome! I would love to get to be on this ride in person

I rode the old ride I think the year it closed, and I rode it during horror nights. To make it spookier, they turn off most lights, but for my specific run, all the cues were off and the sound wasn't working/glitching. I was so terrified, mostly because animatronics terrify me for some reason, but especially since I could really hear them move in the dark silence.

I was there last year, it was very cool and impressive. I remember getting on the ride as a kid on the original Jurassic Park ride

I love the detail on this ride. It’s like the movie got brought to life. Those dinosaurs look very convincing, and the way they pop up out of the dark like that is really cool and intense. Looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah, and this ride is like a combination of the Dinosaur ride from Disney's Animal Kingdom and Splash Mountain, too. And yet, you get to see animatronic dinosaurs and go down the toilet near the end of the ride at the same time, too!😄

I think they could remodel the rex because its tad inaccurate, and make it so it doesn't look likes it floating. But still a great ride!

Fr! I remember going in this ride and I was entranced lol. My 17 year old self was so happy and amazed at how beautiful everything looked, and i love how they used silicone plastic over the animatronics instead of making them all plastic and hard looking. Great detail

I remember when I went on this ride for the first time almost 2 years ago me and my dad got sick a day after because of the cold water that was splashed onto us💀 I also thought I was gonna die when we went straight down and my dad hand to put his leg over me -🍓

Can we just appreciate how smooth the robots movements are? They look so freakin real unlike the first ones.

@Decenium most of them do but not the last one it looks more like the movement you get from puppets. I think it's more impressive they can get the biggest animatronic to do those kinds of walking and sweeping motions reliably, even all the other smaller animatronics are more repeated small motions which is why they look janky. They put a lot of effort into that final scene

When me and my sis went on it I did not expect at all to see the full size Indominus Rex much less for that animatronic in particular to be so well done. Even the smaller ones or just the heads don't move as smoothly and believably as it does. It blew our minds
